Commit to Finishing Your Book
Join my Accountability Group for writers and make progress on your book project!
The first quarter of the year will be over soon. You know what that means? Time to make goals for next quarter!
For those of you writing a book:
Where are you at with your book project at the moment?
Where do you want to be with your book by the end of June?
What would you have to change about your writing habits to get there?
Writing a book is a multi-stage, long-term project. Breaking it into manageable chunks is essential for achieving a goal like that. In my experience, it works well to set quarterly goals and then break that up into monthly and weekly targets.
And then there are those of us who set a specific goal (like writing 1500 words per week) but then don’t follow through… other priorities come up, life gets in the way, and writing gets pushed aside.
Solution: join an accountability group!
I’ve been running an Accountability Group for writers for two years and the participants have found it immensely helpful.
“I truly made progress I didn't expect, and not only that, really looked forward to the meetings and got a nice creative boost from them. Gave me momentum, fun, reward, and a sense of consistency. It was engaging, motivating, uplifting to hear of my cohort's progress and process.” - Group member
“One of my biggest challenges has been procrastinating on getting the writing done--whether because of perfectionism or fear. But the focus on specifically reporting a weekly word count has been a huge factor in my success as a writer.” - Lisbeth Mizula
“Katelin is organized and gentle, but she holds clear and unwavering expectations. With her in my corner I find myself more productive than I ever thought possible.” - Marilyn Bousquin
“Having the accountability group is perfect because I'm setting my own deadlines, without any outside pressure but still with enough incentive to actually get me to do the work, and I'm encouraged to persevere when I see the other people in the group persevering.” - Mary Beth Hayes
For next quarter, I’m lowering the price and adding some new features!
The accountability group is now $45 per month.
