Newsletter Takeover by Onyx the House Rabbit

Hello, my name is Onyx.

I’m taking over this newsletter to let you know that my human, Katelin, is no longer available to write for you.

She has a full time job now in taking care of me and my sister Opal.

Opal can’t talk right now because she’s running around exploring the house.

Anyway, my human is busy taking care of us. This includes feeding us fresh hay, greens, rabbit food, and/or treats, preferably every hour. Also cleaning up after us and watching us be cute and petting us (only when we want it, of course).

Katelin needs constant managing. I have to watch her and remind her to give us our food at the right time. She tries to go to her desk and write, but I interrupt her to remind her of her real job: us.

Katelin still needs a lot of training. She had the audacity to eat a salad in front of us without giving us any! Even though we begged and stared at her while she ate. I’m practicing hopping up on the table from the chair so I can get some next time.

It’s a demanding job, managing our human. But I do it so Opal doesn’t have to.

I’ve always watched out for Opal, ever since we lived outside as strays. Life is much better now, but I still stand guard and pay attention to everything that’s going on so she can relax and have fun.

That’s it for now. Time to join Opal for a nap.
